CARE AND CLEANING
WARNING
I To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or Injury to persons, read and follow this
entire Use & Care Guide, Including the Important Safety Instructions, before operating this washer.
Unplug the washer before cleaning to avoid the risk of electric shock. Failure to follow this warning can cause
serious injury, fire, electrical shock, or death.
Never use harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or solvents to clean the washer. They will damage the finish.
REGULAR CLEANING
Cleaning the Exterior
Proper care of your washer can extend its life. The outside
of the machine can be cleaned with warm water and a
mild, nonabrasive household detergent.
IMPORTANT: Do not use methylated spirits, solvents, or
similar products.
Never use steel wool or abrasive cleansers; they can dam­
age the surface.
Care and Cleaning of the Interior
Use a towel or soft cloth to wipe around the washer lid
opening, and lid glass.
Always remove Items from the washer as soon as the
cycle Is completed. Leaving damp Items In the washer can
cause wrinkling, color transfer, and odor.
This washer has a special cycle to be used for cleaning the
tub and basket. When used regularly, this cycle can help
prevent the buildup of residue that contributes to odors.
Read these Instructions carefully before
beginning the CLEAN WASHER cycle.
^ Open the lid and remove any clothing in the wash tub.
e Open the dispenser drawer.
^ Add liquid chlorine bleach or tub cleaner.
Some powdered or tablet tub cleaners which are
manufactured for this purpose can be used.
(NOTE: Do not add any laundry detergent or fabric
softener to the drawer when using CLEAN WASHER.)
- If using liquid chlorine bleach, add liquid chlorine
bleach to the bleach dispenser.
(NOTE: Do not exceed the maximum fill line and do
not pour undiluted liquid bleach directly into the
wash tub.)
- If using powdered cleaner, remove the liquid
detergent cup and add cleaner to the main wash
com partment of the drawer.
- If using tablet cleaner add tablet cleaner to the wash
tub directly.
(NOTE: Do not add tablet cleaner to the drawer.)
Q Close the drawer and washer lid.
0 Select CLEAN WASHER and press START/PAUSE.
NOTE: It Is recommended that you run the
CLEAN WASHER cycle once a month, or more often dur­
ing periods of heavy use.
If mildew or odor already exists, run the CLEAN WASHER
cycle once a week for 3 consecutive weeks.
After CLEAN WASHER Is complete or when the washer Is
not used, leave the washer lid open for better ventilation
and drying Inside of the washer.
