PORT FORWARDING TROUBLESHOOTING

I cannot view footage using my external IP address on my computer

• This is fine, some routers do not allow you to connect to your external IP address on the

computer it is connected to. Try contacting a friend or family member with an Internet

connection check if they can see the footage when they type in your external IP address in

the browser

When I go to view the footage the screen is blue with an x in the corner

• Make sure the watcher program is running on the main computer. If the watcher program is

not running you will not be able to view the footage

It is telling me that the page cannot be displayed

• Port forwarding is not set up correctly. Try visiting www.myLEVANA.com/networking or

www.portforward.com and follow the Port forwarding instructions again.

• Port 80 is being blocked by your ISP (Internet Service Provider). Try changing the HTTP port

to 2000. Port forwarding will need to be setup for the new port

• A DSL modem is preventing the connection because it is on a different sub-network. Contact

your ISP to assist with bridging the modem and router together
