11. Functions Unique to Solar-Powered

Watches

· When the watch becomes insufficiently charged, the watch display changes as shown

below.

[Normal Time Display]

[Insufficient Charge Warning Display]

The second hand changes to 2-second interval
movement. Promptly recharge the watch to return it to
the normal time display (1-second interval movement).

[Stopped due to being Insufficiently Charged]

The second hand stops at the 0 seconds position
and the other hands stop at the time the watch
became insufficiently charged.

When the watch becomes
insufficiently charged

When the insufficient
charge warning
continues further

When the watch is charged
by exposing to light

When the watch is charged by sufficiently exposing to light (reset the time and date)

* Once the watch has stopped as a result of being insufficiently charged, it takes a minimum of about

30 minutes for the watch to start running again even if it is exposed to light.

<Insufficient Charge Warning Function>
· The second hand switches from 1-second

interval movement to 2-second interval
movement to indicate that the watch has
become insufficiently charged.
The watch stops due to being insufficiently
charged after about 5 days have passed
since the start of 2-second interval
movement.

<Over Charge Prevention Function>
· When the secondary battery becomes fully

charged as result of light shining into the
solar cell, the over charge prevention
function is activated automatically to
prevent the battery from being charged
further. This prevents charging from having
an effect on the secondary battery,
timekeeping accuracy, functions or
performance of the watch no matter how
much the watch is charged.
