Introduction

Sensoray’s 2246 Video platform allows users to capture still images, or full motion
compressed video from a variety of analog and digital video sources into a host
computer. The 2246 is designed to work with HDTV formatted to the 1080i standard
plus two analog video sources for real-time display and storage. HDTV from a serial
digital (SDI) source is scaled and formatted for high-resolution LCD displays. Scaled
data is simultaneously compressed to one of three MPEG or motion JPEG formats
for efficient archiving. The 2246’s processor adds bit-map images and text to the
displayed image. Snapshots from the HDTV stream may be displayed and archived.
The 2246 also accepts two audio signals and synchronizes them to the MPEG
stream

The 2246 is compatible with the following video standards:

 Analog Composite and S-Video: NTSC-M, NTSC-Japan, PAL-B, PAL-D,

PAL-G, PAL-H, PAL-I, PAL-M, PAL-N, SECAM;

 Digital Video: SD-SDI, HD-SDI , SMPTE292M and SMPTE259M.

 Digital Video (Output only): DVI-D
