Configuration

Each audio input may be seperately configured for bass, treble, and gain. If the AFVP is used with the
SmartPanel control system, configuration is made on the SmartPanel, and settings are stored on the
SmartPanel memory. To configure the AFVP with a SmartPanel, connect the AFVP to the SmartPanel
prior to connecting to the SmartPanel configuration port with the RS-232 serial configuration cable. For
general information on configuring the SmartPanel, see the SmartPanel Configuration and Installation
Guide
.

Settings can also be made in stand-alone mode using serial commands through either the RS-232 or
RS-485 control ports. See pages 12 and following for more information.

To configure audio with the SmartPanel, connect the AFVP to the SmartPanel prior to configuring the
Panel with the SP Controls Product Configuration Utility. Configuration is made on the Configure Audio
configuration page.
