Setting the icons on or off
Icons are the mode logos that appear on the screen for a moment when you change
the mode. You can either show or hide the icons.
To set the icons on or off:
1. Press
Suunto in the main display to access the function menu.
2. Scroll to General in the function menu and press Suunto. The General menu is
displayed.
3. Scroll to Icons and press Suunto. The on/off field is displayed in reversed color.
4. Change the field to either on or off with the arrow buttons and press Suunto.
The icons are now set.
Setting the light
Light is the backlight of the Suunto S6 display. It has three possible settings:
•
Normal. The light switches on when you press Start for more than 2 seconds.
The light is on for 5 seconds after the last press of a button.
• Off. The light does not switch on from any button or during an alarm.
• Night Use. The light switches on when you press a button and stays on for
5 seconds after the last press of a button.
NOTE: The backlight goes on when an alarm sounds in Normal and Night Use.
To change the light settings:
1. Press
Suunto in the main display to access the function menu.
2. Scroll to General in the function menu and press Suunto. The General menu is
displayed.
3. Scroll to Light and press Suunto. The current light setting is displayed in reversed
color.
