can be adjusted using the +/– keys, but this has
no effect on the recording.
TIP
In addition to using the  / ¯ keys to adjust the
recording level, try changing the orientation of the
microphone and its distance from the source of the
sound. The orientation of the microphone and the
distance also change the sound quality.
Recording
Use the following procedures after selecting the
input, adjusting the level and returning to the
Home Screen.
NOTE
If the REC LEVEL switch is set to LOW or HIGH, press-
ing the REC key once starts recording immediately
without putting the unit into recording standby. You
can check the current recording setting at the top of
the Home Screen.
1 Press the REC key to start recording standby.
The REC indicator blinks when in recording
standby.
