Replacing the Screen
Use the following procedure to replace the screen:

1. Replace the screen one segment at a time:

a. Place the screen on the floor close to and in front of the machine. Set it on its

circular surface with its the flat edge parallel with the machine.

b. Roll the screen toward you by pushing down on the near side and then slide it

up against the support bar.

c. Roll the back side of the screen up over the machine support bar until its

weight shifts to the support bar. Slide it back until it nestles between the
support bar and the cradle.

d. Push down on the near side until the screen slides around with the front side

low and the back side in a position that will allow you to “roll” the screen up
onto the screen cradle.

e. Guide the screen carefully as you roll it into the cradle, and then slide it

down around the cradle until you can hang the front lip of the screen over the
front edge of the cradle.

2. At the screen cradle jackscrew control panel, turn the selector switch to the “Raise”

position and push the button in the center of the switch. Hold the button until the
cradle stops, and then release the button and return the switch to the off position.

Caution!

Allow the jackscrew motor to come to a complete stop, and wait at least 5
seconds before reversing the motor. The jackscrew and other components
may be severely damaged if the jackscrew motor is reversed before it has
completely stopped.

3. Turn the screen cradle retainer knobs counterclockwise until they stop. Repeat on the

screen retainer knobs at the rear of the screen cradle.

4. Engage the screen cradle safety interlock by turning the actuator screw clockwise.

Make sure the screw is fully seated against the top surface of its housing.

5. Replace line fuses, turn power on, and remove the out of service tag from the

machine.
