Enabling selective flooding for a MAC address
CAUTION:
Do not configure selective flooding for a unicast MAC address that might be learned at an edge device's
data plane. The configuration can cause packets destined for the MAC address to be dropped on remote
devices after they get the MAC address through EVI IS-IS.
An edge device by default floods unknown unicast and multicast frames only to internal interfaces.
If an application uses a special multicast address that requires flooding across sites and cannot be
added to a multicast forwarding table by IGMP snooping, enable selective flooding for it.
To enable selective flooding for a MAC address:
