Binding an LDP VPLS instance

You can bind a service instance with an LDP VPLS instance. After you configure such a binding, the

device matches packets received on the Layer 2 Ethernet port according to the service instance. Packets

that match the service instance are forwarded by the VPLS instance bound with the service instance. A
service instance can be used to match all packets received on the port, packets carrying the specified

VLAN tags, all tagged packets, or all packets with no VLAN tags, providing a more flexible VPLS

instance access control. Use this method when users connected to a VLAN interface belong to different

VPNs.

Binding a service instance with an LDP VPLS instance

To bind a service instance with a VPLS instance, you must create the service instance on a Layer 2
Ethernet interface, configure a packet matching rule for the service instance, and then bind the service

instance with the VPLS instance. After these configurations, packets that arrive at the Layer 2 Ethernet

interface and match the packet matching rule are forwarded by the bound VPLS instance.
