Monitoring 5.1 channel sound

Connections

Connect phone jack audio cables to the output jacks.

Output volume select switch

Press the

output volume select switch

to select ALL (lit).

Output volume knob

Use the knob to adjust the volume level of signal that is output from the output jacks.

UA-1000 internal patching

Set patch bay as follows in UA-1000 Control Panel.

Settings in Windows

1. From the Windows Control Panel, open Sound and Audio Devices Properties.

(-> “Input/output device settings” (p. 24))

2. Click the Audio tab.

In Sound Playback, click the Default Device field, and choose EDIROL UA-1000 from the list that
appears.

3. In Sound Playback, click [Advanced].

4. Click the Speakers tab.

Select 5.1 surround sound speakers as Speaker setup.

5. Click [OK] to close the Advanced Audio Properties dialog box.

6. Click [OK] to close the Sounds and Audio Devices Properties dialog box.

In your software, select 6-speaker mode, 5.1 ch surround sound mode, etc.
