Basic connections and settings

Using an external device as the master

In the setup shown here, the hard disk recorder or other external device is the master, and the UA-1000 is the
slave.

Connections

Connect your external device (e.g., hard disk recorder) to the WORD CLOCK IN jack.

Sampling frequency select switch

Set this to the same sampling frequency as selected for the master device.

External clock switch

Turn this on (lit) so that the UA-1000 will synchronize to the digital signal input to the WORD CLOCK IN
connector (i.e., the UA-1000 will be the slave).

Hard disk recorder, etc.
