Wireless Flash Photography:

Radio Transmission

This chapter describes wireless flash shooting using the

radio transmission wireless master/slave function.

For the accessories required for radio transmission

wireless shooting, see the system map (p.90).

For the regions of use, restrictions, and precautions

related to radio transmission, see page 103.

When using a “Speedlite 430EX III”, which is not equipped
with the radio transmission function, shootings described
in this chapter are not available.

To shoot with optical

transmission wireless flash using the slave function, see
Chapter 5 (p.71).

When the camera’s shooting mode is set to a fully automatic
mode or a Basic Zone mode, the operations in this chapter are
not available. Set the camera’s shooting mode to <

The procedures for wireless flash shooting are described,
using the 430EX III-RT for both the master and slave unit.

The 430EX III-RT attached to the camera is called “master”,
and the 430EX III-RT controlled wirelessly is called “slave”.
