3.11 Output Window Control

3.11.1 Output Horizontal and Vertical Position (Range) (Not available from IR remote

mouse)

This control enables the user to position the “Output Window” with respect to the raster scan of the display device.
Most display devices have a wide range of capability in mapping the boundary of the raster scan to the boundary of
the viewable area. This control is provided to enable additional control in the event that the user’s display device
does not provide sufficient range. This control is always operational, however it should not be adjusted until after
the display device’s size and position controls have proved inadequate. The default configuration for the size and
position of the Output Window are the raster parameters that are specified by VESA’s monitor standards.

Output Horizontal and Vertical Position is indicated by OUT HV POS on the QuadScan’s Front Panel Display.

3.11.2 Output Horizontal and Vertical Size (Range) (Not available from IR remote mouse)

This control enables the user to control the size of the “Output Window” with respect to the raster scan of the
display device. Most display devices have a wide range of capability in mapping the boundary of the raster scan to
the boundary of the viewable area. This control is provided to enable additional control in the event that the user’s
display device does not provide sufficient range. This control is always operational, however it should not be
adjusted until after the display device’s size and position controls have proved inadequate. The default
configuration for the size and position of the Output Window are the raster parameters that are specified by
VESA’s monitor standards.

Output Horizontal Size is indicated by OUT HV SIZE on the QuadScan’s Front Panel Display.

3.12 Input Television Window Control

3.12.1 Input Horizontal and Vertical Position (Range)

This control enables the user to position the “Input Window” with respect to the input television source. The
Input Window is a smaller section of the television input that will be used as the scaling source. The Input
Horizontal and Vertical Position works in conjunction with the Input Horizontal and Vertical Size Control. The
default Input Position is with the Input Window exactly aligned with the timing boundaries of active video as
specified for NTSC and PAL.

Input Horizontal and Vertical Position is indicated by IN HV POS on the QuadScan’s Front Panel Display.
