3.2.2 Reading a Thick Document

When reading a thick document such as a book, observe the following
points:

1) When removing the document cover, pull it upward.

2) The document cannot be read correctly, if it is not lying flat against

the document bed.

3) The document cannot be read correctly, if it is moved during reading.

Do not remove the document cover other than this purpose.

3.3 Before Scanning or Copying a Document by Automatic

Document Feeder

This section explains the operation required before scanning and reading a
document by automatic document feeder.

If you operate the equipment by a method other than described in this
section, a paper jam or reading error may occur.
