Dial tone is OK but can’t dial out

• Make sure the TONE/PULSE setting on the handset is set to the type of

phone service you are subscribed to.

Handset/Base does not ring

• Make sure the handset ringer is turned on and the base ringer is

programmed to HIGH.

• The cordless handset may be out of range of the base. Move closer to

the base.

• You may have too many extension phones on your line. Try unplugging

some phones.

• Check for dial tone.

You experience static, noise, or fading in and out

• The cordless handset may be out of range of the base. Move closer to

the base.

• Relocate the base. Make sure base is not plugged into an outlet with

another household appliance.

• Charge the battery.

Unit beeps

• Place the handset in the cradle for 20 seconds. If it still beeps, charge

battery for 12 hours.

• Clean charging contacts on cordless handset and charger with a soft

cloth or an eraser.

• See solutions for “No dial tone”.

• Replace the battery.
