Adjusting the HDMI resolution
The ideal setting for the connected flat screen or projector can
be adjusted here. The abbreviation behind the number means:
»p« = Progressive, »i« = Interlace.
1 Call up the main menu with » i «.
2 Select »Picture« with » a « or » s « and press » OK « to con-
firm.
3 Select »HDMI Resolution« with » S « or » A « and activate
with » OK «.
4 Select the required settings (»720p«, »1080i« oder »576p«)
with »
S « or » A « and confirm with » OK «.
5 Press » i « to finish the setting.
Selecting the screen format of your television set
This setting depends on your television or flat screen, and on the
information on the DVD.
If you have a 4:3 format television or flat screen, the following set-
tings are available:
4:3 PS (Pan&Scan) for wide-screen playback, where the left and
right edges of the picture are cropped off (depending on the DVD
in use);
or 4:3 LB (Letterbox) for wide-screen playback with black bars at
the top and bottom edges of the television screen. The device is set
to 4:3 LB at the factory.
If you have a 16:9 format television or flat screen, select the 16:9
setting.
1 Call up the main menu with » i «.
2 Select the »Picture« menu item with » a « or » s « and activate
with » OK «.
3 Select »TV Format« with » S « or » A « and activate with
» OK «.
4 Select the desired picture format (»4:3 PS«, »4:3 LB« or
»16:9«) with »
S « or » A « and confirm with » OK «.
5 Press » i « to conclude the setting.
