1. PROBLEMS WHILE PRINTING FROM A COMPUTER
1-1. Computer printing problems

application, and
then correctly
specify the set-
tings. Depending on the soft-

incorrect, even by a small
amount, the printing posi-
tion may be shifted.
The paper that is
being used does not
meet the specifica-
tions for the printer. Refer to “Paper
Tab” in the Printer
Controller User
Manual, and then
check the paper. With this unit, paper is fed
by the friction of rollers.
Due to this, there may be
slight errors in the hori-
zontal and vertical direc-
tions. These errors differ
depending on the paper.
2 Only some of
the pages
were printed,
or the data
for one page
was printed
on two
pages. The binding margin
is incorrect. Check the print
area.
3 The left side
of the page is
blank. (The
text is only
printed on
the right side
of the paper.) The paper position
shifted. • Correctly load
the paper.
• Check the mar-
gin settings
specified in the
application.
4 Text different
from the text
in the screen
was printed. The printer is not set
to the settings most
appropriate for the
computer environ-
ment. Specify the appro-
priate printer set-
tings.
The interface cable
is not correctly con-
nected. Check that the
cable is correctly
connected to the
copier and the
computer.
A printer buffer or a
switch is being used. Change the con-
nections so that a
printer buffer and
switch is not being
used.
