setting is smaller

size, such as for
postcards or enve-
lopes.
• Booklet binding or
overhead projector
transparency inter-
leaving is speci-
fied.
Check the paper
size setting, and
check if the “Book-
let Creation” set-
ting or the “OHP
Interleaving” func-
tion is selected.

Stapling will be par-
allel to the paper
feed direction. Check the direc-
tion that the paper
is loaded. Staples cannot be
punched parallel to the
feeding direction. For
example, when printing a
landscape document on
A4 paper in the portrait
orientation, staples can-
not be punched at the top
of the page.
The stapling position for a
single staple, as a rule, is
in the upper-left corner of
paper loaded in the land-
scape orientation.
