If you have followed the instructions and are having difficulty operation the unit, locate the SYMPTOM in the left
column below. Check the corresponding POSSIBLE CAUSE and CORRECTIVE ACTION columns to locate
and remedy the problem.

General
No power.

The power is on, but the
unit does not work.

DVD/CD
Disc tray does not open.
Even if you press [OPEN
DISC], the disc tray doesn’t
open all the way.
No sound.

The picture is wavy,
flipping, etc.

Cannot operate still
playback, fast playback, slow
motion, repeat playback and
program playback.
4:3 (16:9) screen doesn’t
appear.
No screen display appears.
Even though the title is
selected, playback doesn’t
start.
Cannot change the subtitle
language or soundtrack
language.
Subtitle doesn’t appear.

Cannot change the angle.

” appears on the TV

screen.
“Incorrect Disc” is
displayed.
Cannot play MP3/WMA CD
or Picture CD.
(“lncorrect Disc” appears on
TV screen.)

• The power cord is disconnected.

• Not in the mode you wish to operate.
• Various safety devices are in operation.

• Child lock is set.
• In the interest of the safety of the LCD

screen, the tray does not open wide.

• A convenient playback mode (fast

playback, still playback, etc.) is in
operation.

• Fast forward playback or fast

reverse playback is in process.

• Playing back a disc with which these

functions cannot be used.

• Size setting for the TV screen is not

correct.

• “Display” is not set to “On”
• “Parental” is set.

• Multiple languages are not recorded

on the disc.

• Subtitles are not recorded on the

disc.

• The subtitle function is “OFF”.
• Multiple angles are not recorded on

the disc.

• You are trying to do something

prohibited.

• Disc upside down.
• No data on the disc.
• The first file playback is not unwanted

one on a CD containing a mixture of
MP3, WMA and JPEG files.

• “Select Files” setting is not correct.

• Plug the power cord into the wall

outlet securely.

• Switch to the mode you wish to operate in.
• Unplug the power cord from the outlet

once, then plug in again after several
seconds to turn the power on.

• Cancel the child lock
• Pull the disc tray opened with [OPEN

DISC] towards you.

• Playing back normally.

• Fast forward playback or fast reverse

playback may cause the image to be
wavy, flip, etc.

• Depending on the disc, these

functions may not be used.

• Switch the TV screen size.

• Set “Display” to “On”.
• Check “Parental” settings.

• Depending on the disc, multiple

languages may not be recorded.

• Depending on the disc, subtitles may

not be recorded.

• Select the desired subtitle.
• Depending on the disc, multiple

angles may not be recorded.

• This indicates that the operation is

prohibited for this unit.

• Reverse the disc and place it again.
• Insert a disc with data on it.
• Select MP3/WMA file or JPEG file on

the file list you want to play.

• Set “Select Files” setting correctly.
