Unfinalizing a disc
For DVD-RWs (Video mode)
To record or edit further, you can unfinalize
DVD-RWs (Video mode) that have been finalized
on this recorder. (Not possible if finalized on other
DVD equipment.)
For DVD-RWs (VR mode)
When you try to record or edit a DVD-RW (VR
mode) finalized on other DVD equipment, a
message may appear indicating that the disc needs
unfinalizing.

Insert a disc.
See “Inserting a disc” on page 36.

Press TOOLS, select “Disc Info,” and
press ENTER.
The “Disc Information” display appears.

Select “Unfinalize,” and press ENTER.
Unfinalizing starts, which may take several
minutes.
