Basic Connections

This section describes how to connect a VHF/UHF antenna, CATV
cable, and CATV cable box.

Connecting a
VHF/UHF Antenna

The connection you choose depends on the type of VHF/UHF
antenna you have in your home.

Newer homes are usually equipped with 75-ohm coaxial cable (

Older homes may have 300-ohm twin lead cable (
