A dialog box containing scanning settings appears.

From the Scan Method drop-down list, select the desired scanning
method.

From the Image Type drop-down list, select the desired scanning mode.

From the Resolution drop-down list, select a scanning resolution.

Select desired scanning settings such as Sharpen or Descreen.

Click Preview or Scan to preview or scan your document(s).
Scan method
You can select how to scan from the Scan Method drop-down list.
z Flatbed: Use this setting if you are scanning one page at a time using
the flatbed.
z Simplex/Multi-page: Use this setting if you are scanning a multi-page
document using the optional auto document feeder (ADF).
Selecting the proper image type
Select the appropriate image type for your purpose through the scanner user
interface.
The different image types are described below.
