Your Kyocera phone supports a
Transflash

TM

(microSD

TM

) card, a removable

external storage card that, when inserted into the
phone, increases storage capacity.
You can also transfer files stored on your
computer to the Transflash (microSD) card using
a memory card adapter.
The Transflash (microSD) card supports .mp3,
.aac, and .mp4 file types, up to 512MB.

Note:

Protected files cannot be saved onto

the card.

Inserting the Transflash
(microSD) card

1.

Lift the Transflash (microSD) cover up.
(See item 17 in the picture on page 4.)

2.

Hold the card with the metal contacts facing
up and push the card in the slot until it
clicks into place.

3.

Close the cover.

Note:

Text messages do not appear on your

phone when the card is in the phone. To set your
phone to exit media mode so that your messages
appear, set the phone to Auto Off.

Removing the Transflash
(microSD) card

1.

Open the Transflash (microSD) cover.

2.

Place your finger on the top of the card and
press until it pops out.

Note:

Replace the card in its case immediately to

avoid damage or loss.

Formatting the Transflash
(microSD) card

The memory card can be formatted automatically
or manually.

Automatic

When a memory card is used for the first time, it
is automatically formatted.

Note:

Formatting or reformatting a memory card

erases all data and files that were previously saved
on the Transflash (microSD) card.

1.

Insert the Transflash (microSD) card.
(“Inserting the Transflash (microSD) card”
on this page.)

2.

The phone will automatically begin to format
the card and “Card now ready for use.”
