When "Progressive" is set
1.
Press
ON SCREEN
during playback, then display the "VISUAL"
OSD by tilting the joystick up or down.

Move the cursor to

Select a value by tilting the joystick up or down, then

¶ The picture quality varies according to the selected
value. Set the desired picture quality by repeating
steps 4 and 5.
¶ When "Demo" is selected, "DCDi" and
"Enhancer" will be turned on/off alternately every
15 seconds.
"Contrast": Adjustment of the
difference between the bright
and dark parts of picture in the
range between -7 and +7.
"Color" : Adjustment of the depth
of colors in the range between -
7 and +7.
"Sharpness": Adjustment of the
degree of picture contour
enhancement in the range
between -2 and +2.
"Brightness": Adjustment of the
picture brightness in the range
between 0 and +15.
The following setting items are
provided on the next page.
"GAMMA": Adjustment according
to the gamma curve of the
monitor, in the range between
-7 and +7.
"Enhancer": Enhancement of
image sharpness.
"Enhancer Gain": Adjustment of
the degree of enhancer in the
range between 0 and +15.
"DCDi": Minimizes jaggies on
angled lines.

"GAMMA": Adjustment according to
the gamma curve of the monitor,
in the range between -7 and +7.
"DNR" (Digital Noise Reduction):
Adjustment for reducing noise in
the picture, in the range between
0 and +15.
"Contrast": Adjustment of the
difference between the bright and
dark parts of picture in the range
between -7 and +7.
"Color": Adjustment of the depth of
colors in the range between -7 and
+7.
"Sharpness": Adjustment of the degree
of picture contour enhancement in
the range between -2 and +2.
"Brightness": Adjustment of the
picture brightness in the range
between 0 and +15.
When "User Mode" is selected,
more detailed setting is available. In
this case, also perform the operation
in step 4.
"Normal": Normal picture quality.
"Fine": Sharp picture quality with
enhanced contours.
"Soft": Soft picture quality with less
noise.
"Cinema": Picture quality close to the
images on the movie theater screen.
When "User Mode" is selected,
more detailed setting is available. In
this case, also perform the operation
in step 4.
"Normal": Normal picture quality.
"Fine": Sharp picture quality with
enhanced contours.
"Soft": Soft picture quality with less noise.
"Cinema": Picture quality close to the
images on the movie theater screen.
"Animation": Suitable for viewing
pictures composed of vivid colors,
such as animation movies.
Switching the viewing angle
When a DVD containing the recording of multiple viewing
angles is played, the angles can be switched as desired.
1.
During playback of DVD, ensure that the "ANGLE"
indicator in the display is lit.
2.
Press
ON SCREEN
during playback, then display the "VISUAL"
OSD by tilting the joystick up or down.
3.
Move the cursor to
1
(Angle icon) by tilting
the joystick to the left or right, then press
ENTER
.
4.
Select the desired angle number by tilting the joystick
up or down, then press
ENTER
.
¶ With a DVD, a viewing angle number can be
selected from up to 9 numbers.
