SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

ELECTRIC SHOCK can kill.

• Do not touch electrically live

parts or electrodes with your
skin or wet clothing.

• Insulate yourself from the work

and ground.

• Always wear dry insulating gloves.

Only qualified personnel should install, use, or ser-
vice this equipment.

SELECT SUITABLE LOCATION

Place the Idealarc DC-400 where clean, cooling air can
flow freely in through the front louvers and out through
the rear louvers. Keep dust, dirt, and other foreign
materials that can be drawn into the machine to a min-
imum. Failure to observe these precautions can lead
to excessive operating temperatures and nuisance
shut-downs.

LIFTING

FALLING EQUIPMENT can cause
injury.

• Do not lift this machine using the

lift bail if it is equipped with a heavy
accessory such as a trailer or a gas
cylinder.

• Lift only with equipment of adequate lifting capacity.

• Be sure the machine is stable when lifting.

• Do not stack more than three high.

• Do not stack the DC-400 on top of any other

machine.

The Idealarc DC-400 weighs 473 pounds (215 kilo-
grams). A permanent lift bail is located at the top of
the machine, positioned at the center of gravity for sta-
ble lifting.

TILTING

Place the machine on a secure, level surface. Any sur-
faces you place it on other than the ground must be
firm, non-skid, and structurally sound.

STACKING

Idealarc DC-400s may be stacked three high. The
bottom machine must be on a stable, hard, level sur-
face capable of supporting the weight of up to three
machines (1419 pounds/645 kilograms). Be sure that
the two pins in the roof of the bottom machine fit into
the holes in the base of the machine above. The lift
bail is positioned so that it fits without interference
under the base of the second machine.
