Installation Overview

Select the appropriate method to establish a connection between the

workstation / laptop and the Axis Network Print Server. The following

descriptions provide an overview of the installation procedures:

Setting up Using the

Ethernet Interface

To establish communication with the network, an IP address must be
assigned to your Axis Network Print Server. See

“Assigning an IP

Address to the Print Server”

on page 16.

Once the connection has been established, proceed with creating a
certificate. See

Next, enable https in the print server for secure Web services. See

Set the

WLAN Network Mode and enter the SSID, WLAN channel and

WEP keys according to your network, see

The Axis Network Print Server must be restarted for the WLAN settings
to take effect. On power up, the Axis Network Print Server will
automatically select WLAN communication if there is no Ethernet cable
connected. Disconnect the network cable and disconnect and reconnect
the Axis Network Print Server power supply.
