Connecting to other equipment

Connecting to a PC

By connecting the camera to a computer,
you can upload your pictures, then
use the software on the included CD-
ROM ([PHOTOfunSTUDIO-viewer-] for
Windows

®

) to print or send your images

by e-mail.
If you use Windows 98/98SE, install
the USB driver and then connect the
camera to the computer.
For details, refer to the operating
instructions (PDF file) of the software.

Turn on the camera and the PC.
Connect the camera to a PC via
the USB connection cable

(supplied).

The screen to select [PictBridge (PTP)]
or [PC] is displayed.
If [USB MODE] in setup menu is set to
other than [SELECT ON CONNECTION],
the screen is not displayed

Use batteries with sufficient battery
power or the AC adaptor A and the
DC coupler B.

Always use a genuine Panasonic AC
adaptor (optional) and DC coupler
(optional).
Make sure this unit is off before
connecting or disconnecting the AC
adaptor.

USB connection cable (supplied)

Connect the USB connection cable
with the [

c] mark facing the [q]

mark on the [DIGITAL] socket.

This message appears during data

transfer.

Check the facing of the connector and

push straight in.

Hold E and then insert or pull the USB
connection cable straight. Do not try
to force the connector in backwards or
sideways. This can damage this unit
and the equipment you are connecting.

Select [PC] using r and press
[MENU/SET].

[Windows]
The drive appears on the [My Computer]
folder.

If it is the first time you are connecting
the camera to a PC, the required driver is
installed automatically so that the camera
can be recognised by the Windows Plug
and Play, then it appears on the [My
Computer] folder.

[Macintosh]
The drive is displayed on the screen.

The drive is displayed as [LUMIX] when you
connect the camera with no card inserted.
The drive is displayed as [NO_NAME] or
[Untitled] when you connect the camera
with a card inserted.
