The recording time is limited to 16 seconds for each message. Record your message within 12 seconds for
best performance.
● You can choose either 16 seconds or 60 seconds of recording time for the TAD/FAX greeting message (see
page 93).
Suggested messages
Recording your own greeting messages
1 Make sure that the AUTO ANSWER setting is set
to the desired mode (TAD/FAX or TEL/FAX mode)
where you want to record a greeting message (see
page 73).
2 Press two times.
● The display will show one of the following
according to your selection in step 1.

Recording a greeting message
Note:
● If you make a mistake while recording, repeat from step 2.
● If you record a TEL/FAX greeting message, it will be played as the second greeting message. The first
greeting message will always play even if a TEL/FAX greeting message is recorded (see page 90).

unable to answer right now. To send a fax, start transmission. To
leave a message, speak after the beep. Thank you.”
“This is (your name, business and/or telephone number). We are

Note:
● If you do not record any messages, one of the pre-recorded messages will be played (see page 90).
4 Speak clearly about 20 cm (8 inches) away
from the microphone.
● The display will show the remaining
recording time.
