TONE button

The

(TONE)

(

£

) button is used for rotary pulse dial

services and allows you to temporarily change from
pulse to tone mode during a dialing operation.
When you hang up, the unit will automatically return to
pulse mode.

Entering pauses

When the

(REDIAL/PAUSE)

button is pressed during

dialing, a pause will be inserted. Pressing

(REDIAL/PAUSE)

once creates a 5 second pause.

Example 1:
If your unit is connected to a host exchange, insert
a pause to get an outside line.

Example 2:
If a transmission error occurs during an overseas
transmission, add two pauses at the end of the
telephone number.
