System Boot
In systems with a large number of modules and chassis, the host computer
may appear to hang, taking more than 20 seconds at the Windows XP
splash screen. This operation is expected, as the operating system is
enumerating all the devices in the PCI bus hierarchy, which can take time
in a complex configuration.
NI Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX)
The initial launch of MAX may take a long time (several minutes) to
discover all the devices in a system with a large number of modules and
chassis.
