Introduction
This guide provides information about the 8005 Dual Input (DI) DC and
8005DC power supplies used in the Ethernet Routing Switch 8300.
The guide also includes instructions for adding and replacing this DC
power supply in the following Ethernet Routing Switch 8300 chassis
models:
• 8306 Chassis
• 8310 Chassis
ATTENTION
This guide is intended for qualified service personnel with appropriate technical
training and experience. The service personnel also must be aware of the
hazards involved in installing and replacing customer-replaceable units.
CAUTION
This device is a Class A product. Operation of this equipment
in a residential area is likely to cause harmful interference, in
which case users are required to take appropriate measures
necessary to correct the interference at their own expense.

Task and estimated time
The following table lists the estimated time to install a DC power supply for
the Ethernet Routing Switch 8300.
The estimated installation time can range from 15 to 50 minutes. The
installation time depends on the chassis model and the number of power
supplies you are installing.
