Shooting for a Panorama

The camera focuses on the subject at the center of the frame. Use a tripod for the
best results.

Press the A button in shooting
mode to display the shooting-mode
selection menu and choose p

Panorama assist) scene mode

(

A 59).

Panorama direction icons are displayed to
show the direction in which pictures will be
joined.

Tap a direction icon.

Select the direction in which pictures will be joined in the
completed panorama; right (

D), left (C), up (A) or

down (

B).

A different direction can be selected by tapping a different
panorama direction icon.

Apply flash mode (

A 42), self-timer (A 44), and macro

mode (

A 45) settings with this step, if necessary.

Take the first picture.

One third of the picture will be displayed as
translucent.

Take the next picture.

Frame the next picture so that one-third of the
frame overlaps the previous picture.

Repeat this process until the necessary
number of pictures have been taken to
complete the scene.
