9 In the Enter a port name field, enter the shared name.

Setting Up a Network-Connected
Machine
You have to set up the network protocols on the machine to use
it as your network printer.
You can configure the basic network parameters through the
machine’s control panel. Use the machine’s control panel to do
the following:
• Print a Network Configuration Page
• Configure TCP/IP

• The operating systems supported by the network card may be
different from the operating systems supported by the machine.
The following table shows the network environments supported
by the machine.
• Printer driver does not support Windows 95.
