Overdubbing in higher sound quality (DIRECT MIX)

In ordinary overdubbing, both the playback sound of a disc
or SD card and your playing sound are recorded through
the microphones.
In the

DIRECT MIX

mode, the playback sound is recorded

directly in the unit and you can mix sounds in higher qual-
ity.
However, headphones are required for monitoring to pre-
vent the microphones from picking up the playback sound.
The

DIRECT MIX

mode is automatically activated as heac-

phones are connected.
When you overdub the sound of an electric instrument
through the

LINE IN

jack, you can activate the

DIRECT

MIX

mode manually and overdub sounds in higher quality

without using headphones for monitoring.
Follow the steps below to activate the

DIRECT MIX

mode

manually.

1.

Press the

OVERDUB

key to make the unit on standby

for overdubbing.

2.

Press the

F1

key to activate the

DIRECT MIX

mode.

Execute the same procedure as ordinary overdubbing after
pressing the

F1

key.
