3-1.3 Duplicator Functions

The function of the SmartDup is determined by the setting of DIP switches on
the SmartDup dock. The following figure illustrates the DIP switch settings for
performing the desired function in stand-alone mode.

The following sections describe the functions set by the SmartDup DIP switches and
steps for operation.

Note: each function can be set for high speed (H) or low speed (4X) determined by
the SW4 setting.

The LED display indicates the current status of the duplicator. When turned ON, the
LEDs will automatically run through its power-up self tests and finally display a ready
status by displaying the speed (H for high speed or L for low speed) and function
number determined by the DIP switch settings. For example:
where H = high speed and 7= Auto Mode.

(1) Upgrade Firmware (H1/L1)

Use this function only to upgrade the SmartDup‘s resident firmware. Please refer to
appendix section A-1: Firmware Upgrade for further instructions.
