(2) 1X Copy (H2/L2)

Sets the CD-R/RW to “1X Copy” mode, which will always record at the minimum
writing speed for the SW4 switch setting. The minimum speed for some writers is 4x.

1X copy DIP switch settings:

High Speed

Low Speed (4X)

1. Set the Power Switch to CD Duplicator ON position.

The LEDs will display the firmware version number, for example:
and then run through a series of test numbers:
00, 22, 33... 88, 99.

2. When the self-test is completed, a “rd” (ready) is displayed, followed by two

beeps, “00”, then the speed/function setting or

3. Insert your CD title into the top CD-ROM drive and blank CD-R or

CD-RW media in the bottom CD-RW writer.

4. The LED display will show and beep a final countdown, then display a flashing

writing time remaining as it copies from CD to CD.

5. Upon completion, “00” is displayed, three beeps are heard, and the CD-R media

is ejected.

6. The 1X Copy routine can be repeated by inserting another CD title and/or

CD-R or CD-RW media.

7. If a failure occurs during the Self-Test, Test, Erase, or Copy modes, beeps are

heard, then steady “Er” is displayed.

(3) Erase Only (H3/L3)

Sets the CD-R/RW to “Erase Only” mode. This mode can only be used with CD-RW
(rewritable) media. Erase speed drops to 4X only (regardless of SW4 setting.)
