TFTP Download
This setting can be used to update the firmware on your router when HTTP update in unsuccessful or
unavailable:
1. Save your configuration in the router menu “Upgrade Firmware” you can also use the TFTP utility.
2. Power off the router and set DIP switches 3 and 4 down (402 only).
3. Power on the XC-DPG Twin WAN Router.
4. Use the supplied Windows TFTP utility or any other TFTP client program to apply the new
firmware. If using the supplied Windows TFTP program, the screen will look like the following
example.

• Enter the name of the firmware file on your PC, or click the "Browse" button to locate the file.
• Enter the LAN IP address of the XC-DPG Twin WAN Router in the "Server IP" field (default is
192.168.1.1)
• Click "Download" to send the file to the XC-DPG Twin WAN Router.
5. When downloading is finished the router is reset to defaults .
Note:
The supplied Windows TFTP utility also allows you to perform three (3) other operations:
• Save the current configuration settings to your PC (use the "Upload" button).
• Restore a previously-saved configuration file to the XC-DPG Twin WAN Router (use the
"Download" button).
• Set the XC-DPG Twin WAN Router to its default values (use the "Set to Default" button).
