Program Dial-by-Name Keys
To program a directory number on the programmable keys.
Note: To store a number on the Message key, just press the
key during the following procedure like a normal
programmable key. ²
Press.
The display shows the duration of the last incoming call in the
upper row, for example:

Press a programmable key.
Note: Pressing once will program the key on the upper
layer, pressing twice will program the key on the lower layer.
The lower layer can only be programmed if the number of
dial-by-name keys is set to 20 (see section “ Number of Dial-
by-Name Keys ” on page 75).
If a number is already stored on a key, the number is displayed in
the lower row:

Dial the number.
Note: In case of a previously stored number, this entry will
be deleted automatically.
You can use any number (internal directory number, function code
or line access code and public number). ´ ²
Press to save and exit.
Notes: You can remove the transparent cover for writing
the names beside the keys, see section “ Install Card ” on
page 93.
If you press an invalid key during programming, the
programming mode will be terminated automatically and
you will hear a special rejection tone.
