Further options:

– Press the Backspace softkey to delete the selected entry.

– Press the Tone -> on / Tone -> off softkey to switch on/off the acoustic
signalling of incoming messages.

Voicebox

The OpenCom 1000 communications system provides you with a voicebox which
serves as an “answering machine” if desired. To operate the voicebox, it is
recommended to configure a key with the Voice mail function (see Function Keys
Reference starting on page 31). A
ctivating or deactivating the voicebox is done via
call forwarding to a voicebox call number (please refer to Call Forwarding starting
on page 21).
Any time there are new messages on your OpenVoice voicebox, the Aastra 673xi /
675xi display shows the symbol ‚ and the number of voicebox messages received
next to it.

1. Press the function key with the Voice mail function.

The Voice -Mail menu card appears.

2. If more than one call number was configured for the Aastra 673xi / 675xi select

the line with the navigation keys

. Confirm using the Select softkey.

The voicebox is called.

3. The next steps are voice controlled. Follow the Voice menu instructions.

4. Press the Goodbye key

to exit the voicebox system.

Busy Lamp Field

Use the Busy Lamp Field function key (BLF, busy lamp) to view the free or busy
state of another internal subscriber. For every desired call number of a subscriber
you have to configure a separate BLF function key (please refer to Function Keys
Reference starting on page 31)
. The LED indicator next to the function key shows
the state of the subscriber connected:

Unlit ( ): The subscriber is free. Press the BLF function key to call the
subscriber.

Blinking ( ): The subscriber is being called. Press the BLF function key to
accept the call (“Pickup”).

Lit ( ): The subscriber is busy.
