20.1.3
Replacing the Battery
If the standby time for the cordless phone becomes too low, replace the
battery with a new one. Contact the system administrator or your certi-
fied Aastra Sales partner for information on new batteries.
The battery is easy to replace. It is attached inside the battery lid and is
connected to the cordless phone in such a way as to avoid misinsertion.
Attach the battery as described in figure 15 on page 112.

20.2 Accessories
20.2.1 Headset
If you frequently use the phone or want to have both hands free, it is
recommended that you use a headset.
The headset for the DT690 cordless phone comes in three versions:
•
With the microphone integrated in the cable
•
With the microphone on a boom
•
With hearing protection
Connect the headset to the headset connector marked
on the right
side of the phone.
20.2.2 Belt
Clip
The clip on the back of the phone lets you attach the phone to a belt or
similar.
