• / : This icon indicates if the high-resolution file of a clip can be automatically
removed after a certain period of time or not. Depending on your user rights this button
will be available or not.
The VarId check box allows you to search for clips by their VarID. By default, this check
box is not selected.
The Filename check box allows you to search for clips by the name of the high-resolution
video file. By default, this check box is not selected.
The Clipname check box allows you to search for clips by their name.
The Date Archived/Restored From and To box allow you to search for clips that were
archived/restored on a particular day or in a particular period. By default, the Date
Archived/Restored From check box is selected.
(2) Selected Clips Grid
This grid displays the clips that you have selected from the Archived grid.
Four buttons are provided allowing you to add and remove clips:
Button Description
With this button you can add one or more clips to the Selected Clips grid.
With this button you can add all the clips to the Selected Clips grid.
With this button you can remove one or more clips from the Selected
Clips grid.
With this button you can remove all the clips from the Selected Clips grid.
With the Remove Hires button you can manually start the removal of the
high-resolution file from the nearline storage of the archived and restored clips. Partially
restored clips can only be removed from the nearline in IPDirector.
With the Purge button you can manually initiate the removal of the high-
resolution files from LTO tape of the archived and restored clips.
If the Selected Clips grid doesn’t contain clips, the Remove Hires button is unavailable.
Note
Depending on your user rights, the Purge button, Remove Hires button or the
Selected Clips grid will be unavailable.
