6) Open the hood of the vehicle and pop off the plastic shock caps. Once exposed, remove the 3
remaining bolts that hold the shock to the vehicle using a 13mm socket. Retain hardware for
reinstallation.

Once the shock is out of the car, mark the shock top hat and lower perch with whiteout or other marking
tool. This will ensure proper orientation for reinstallation.
