Maintenance and Diagnostics

Periodic maintenance will ensure accurate and consistent analysis results. Verify the levels of
the calibration solution and reagents and refill where necessary.

9.1 Maintenance schedule

The following table shows the suggested maintenance schedule for the 9240 Sodium Analyzer.

9.2 Battery replacement

The transmitter is delivered with a CR1220 (3V) lithium battery included to safeguard the time
function in the instrument when not powered up. Should this internal battery malfunction or
require replacement it must be replaced with exactly the same battery type CR1220 (3V) UL
Certified (compulsory VARTA, RENATA or MATSUSHITA).

WARNING

There is a risk of explosion if the replacement battery does not correspond to the correct
model as indicated above. Do not throw away used batteries, but send them to a local
recycling center.
