Check the Pour-Thru Cell viewing windows. If they are dirty or fogged
up, place the Pour-Thru Cell in a soap solution or in dilute acid. Then
rinse the Pour-Thru Cell thoroughly with deionized water.

Tube cleaning

Clean the tubes with deionized water after each series of
measurements.
The tubes are exposed to chemicals and must be replaced at least
every 12 months.

Replace the pump tubing

The pump tubing is exposed to mechanical loads and chemicals and
must be replaced at least every 12 months.
1.

Perform the purge cycle several times with air to remove any

residual fluid from the system.

2.

Disconnect the USB cable from the photometer.

3.

Remove the connection tube and discharge tube from the input and

output connections on the peristaltic pump.

4.

Tilt back the lever behind the peristaltic pump (

The peristaltic pump cover will move back.

5.

Lift up the peristaltic pump cover (

Figure 3

step 2) and dispose of

the cover, pump tubing and connections.

6.

Position the new cover with pre-assembled pump tubing and

connections on the peristaltic pump.

7.

Push down the cover on the peristaltic pump and tilt up the lever

behind the peristaltic pump (

Figure 3

steps 3 and 4).

The peristaltic pump cover will move forward.

8.

Connect the connection tube and the discharge tube to the input

and output connections on the peristaltic pump (refer to

Figure 1

and

Figure 2

).

9.

Connect the SIP 10 USB cable to a USB port on the photometer.
