Install the operator, by taking the following steps:
1. Place the operator on the pad to best suit the conduit as
shown in Figure 1-2. Use the operator as a template and
center it on the pad. The chain path must be parallel
with the gate.
2. Assess any limitations in the chain path such as gate
support posts. Adjust the operator’s location as required.
Mark the mounting locations based on gate, operator,
and chain requirements. Mark the drill point at the
center of the slot to allow for adjustments.
See Figure 1-4 and Figure 1-9.
3. Remove the operator from the concrete pad and drill the
holes for the concrete anchors. See
Tip.
4. Mount the operator with four ½ - 13 x 3½-inch
concrete anchors as shown in Figure 1-10.
5. For additional types of mounting options, refer to the
Appendix.

Tip: To keep pinpoint accuracy while drilling
the mounting holes in the concrete, use a
3/16-inch bit to pilot the holes and then move
to a ½-inch drill bit.
