Wash the System

Use the wash cycle as needed using sheath fluid. For example, wash
with sheath fluid after calibration. Place at least 200 µL in a
microtiter well or fill the XYP instrument reservoir with the sheath
fluid. Washing takes about 30 seconds.

Luminex recommends that you wash after calibration, verification
using controls, between batches and multi-batches, and daily
shutdown

To wash the system:

1. Click Wash. A confirmation dialog box appears telling you to

place wash solution into the reservoir or well indicated.

2. Click the drop-down arrow to the right of the Wash button. An

image of the microtiter plate and reservoir in the plate holder
appears.

3. Select the location for the wash solution and click Eject/Retract.

The plate holder ejects.

4. Place the solution in the location you indicated and click Eject/

Retract to retract the plate holder.

5. Click OK. The command list on the Run Batch tab indicates that

the system is washing.

6. Wait for the wash to complete. Upon completion, the command

list indicates whether the command succeeded with green text or
the command failed with red text.
