Manual IIS Setup: cannot use the IntelliTrack Create IIS Dependen-
cies Utility to configure IIS for IntelliTrack CE Batch communication.
You must manually configure IIS. Manual IIS setup involves advanced
knowledge of IIS and advanced network administration knowledge.

RDA Setup Glossary of Terms

In determining your Remote Data Access configuration, you will come
across various terms. These terms, as they relate to Remote Data Access
(RDA) with your IntelliTrack system, are defined below.

Domain: a computer grouping within a network that has a unique
name; the computers share a common directory database. All comput-
ers in the domain are administered as part of a unit with common rules
and procedures.

Domain Name: network domain name that the Batch Portable applica-
tion and database will use to communicate with each other. The
Domain Name is usually assigned by the network administrator. It is
only used in a domain environment.

Domain Security Account: requires a username and password for log-
ging into IIS Services. It is only used in a domain environment.
