Find the scan code for the device key that you want to map to the ESC
function. It is found in the tree-view grid in the left pane of the window.
[The VT_SCANCODE setting needs to be configured to \1B for this
device key (see
“Mapping a Device Key to the ESC Function” on
).]

Next, select the scan code. The scan code setting appears in the right
pane of the window (in this example, the asterisk key is being mapped
to the ESC setting). Place the cursor in the field and enter the ESC set-
ting \1B. Click the Save button to save the setting. In the tree-view por-
tion of the grid, the key icon to the left of the scan code turns green;
this indicates that the ESC setting has been saved to this scan code.
