Pre-Installation Considerations
Note: It is important to read the following information PRIOR to installing
IntelliTrack WMS RF Server.
Before you begin installing IntelliTrack WMS RF Server, please take these
considerations into account: application directory, authentication type, and
operating system.
Required Network/System Information
• Operating System: Verify the operating system installed on your Intel-
liTrack WMS target server PRIOR to the installation of the database
server. Verify the operating system installed on your IntelliTrack WMS
target workstation PRIOR to the installation of the workstation soft-
ware. IntelliTrack WMS supports the following operating systems:
Windows XP Professional and Windows Vista.
Note: If you are using the Microsoft Windows Vista Operating System,
make sure that the User Access Control (UAC) is turned off BEFORE
INSTALLING your INTELLITRACK SOFTWARE. To disable UAC, go to
the Control Panel > User Accounts and Family Safety > User Accounts
> Turn User Account Control on or off. Uncheck the check box to dis-
able UAC and click OK. Windows Vista will then prompt you to restart the
computer.
• Application Directory: Make sure you know which machine Intelli-
Track WMS RF Server will be installed on, and the drive letter of the
\IntelliTrack WMS \RF Server directory (where the application execut-
able resides).
Note: The application directory represents the target path where the work-
station application executable resides.
